When I said goodbye to my college and started my first ever job, I needed a mode of transport to commute. The route to my office was a bit tricky and no bus could directly get me there. Hiring a cab everyday was totally out of question as I couldn’t afford this option. So, I arranged myself a used motorbike and started my day to day commute.

After a while, I figured out that I didn’t like riding bikes but my interest was in cars. This was when I started saving money and saved till I was able to afford a used vehicle. While there were many options to choose from, every dealer was claiming that their used car was the best and better than one that I’d get from any other dealer. So, I turned to the internet. I did a lot of research and was eventually able to find out the key pointers required to be able to buy just the right car. Those three pointers were inspection, price comparison and dealer’s reputation.

Pre or Post Vehicle Inspection

First off, you have to get the vehicle inspected before you even think of buying it. The used car could either be pre-inspected, or you’ll have to get this part done yourself. If it is pre-inspected then there will be a sticker on it, along with some document stating that the used car is ready to hit the road.

Smart Price Comparison

The price comparison part is super easy. You simply note down the pricing of all cars that you like, both physically and online, along with vehicle’s details. Sit down and consider everything to decide which vehicle suits the best. No rocket science, right!

Dealer’s Reputation Research

Last but not least, the dealer’s reputation. You should do some research to find out if your selected dealer is famous only for the good reasons. Look for everything be it positive reviews, testimonials, articles and verbal feedback before making your final decision.
